Master Planning |
As planners, our starting point is the establishment
of a sound information base, as well as clear identification and systematic
analysis of the relevant issues. We look for client involvement in
the generation and evaluation of alternative planning strategies and,
where appropriate, community involvement is promoted to ensure general
understanding and shared satisfaction with outcomes.
As well as our depth of experience in architecture
and planning, we successfully combine the two disciplines to offer
services normally considered outside the province of each. These
include site master planning, urban design, streetscape studies,
including long-term strategic development plans for small as well
as major institutional campuses.
Master planning is a particular area of expertise.
Our approach recognises the need for experience in the efficient
allocation of land and built spaces and an ability to tailor site
development to the needs and growth characteristics of client institutions.
Invaluable benefits stem from our analytical approach to environmental
design, detailed knowledge of building construction and life-cycle
costing which enables planning to be confidently undertaken knowing
that the area, shape, orientation, foundation requirements, etc
of buildings and paths of travel have been properly assessed and
the potential for long term user enjoyment of facilities is maximised.
